Piazza Caffè | Our Story

An Italian Kitchen, a Santa Fe Welcome
Piazza Caffè begins with a simple idea: the food matters, and so do the people around the table.
Our trattoria di famiglia brings Italian cooking to Santa Fe through pasta made in house, golden focaccia, and the thin, crisp pizza of Rome. We believe in familiar recipes prepared with attention, a glass of wine with dinner, and hospitality that feels personal.
Not a formal occasion. Just a good reason to sit down together.
Our Corner of Santa Fe
You will find us at 2574 Camino Entrada, on Santa Fe’s south side, in the space that once housed Rustica.
It is our place to bring a little of Italy into the everyday: dinner after a busy week, a family birthday, or an evening that starts with a Negroni and unfolds from there. A neighborhood address, with an Italian table waiting inside.
Dalla Cucina
There is a particular pleasure in Italian cooking that knows what it is. Bucatini Cacio e Pepe. Carbonara. Lasagna Bolognese. Focaccia baked in house, ready to share.
Our menu follows the character of the Italian regions, with dishes inspired by Tuscany and Rome and Roman-style pizza baked thin and crisp. Pasta fatta in casa is at its heart. Nothing needs a grand introduction when the first forkful says enough.
Italian Soul, Santa Fe Character
Warm colors, rich textures, a comfortable booth. As evening settles in, candlelight gives the table its own small glow.
Our dining rooms bring Italian warmth together with the character of Santa Fe. Beautiful enough for a celebration, easy enough for an ordinary evening. Settle in with friends, bring the family, and enjoy the room as much as the meal.
Stay for the Dolci
By the time dinner is finished, there is usually another story to tell. Perhaps a Tiramisù to share, or a slice of Torta della Nonna.
We like that part of the evening: the pace softens, the conversation wanders, and no one is quite ready to leave. Come for the cooking. Stay for the company. That is the spirit of famiglia.
